Kristen is the owner and operator of the Center for Hope & Healing. She earned a master’s degree from Lindenwood University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Kristen has over ten years of experience in working with hospice and end of life issues.  Kristen works with many survivors of childhood abuse and trauma, and provides tangible skills with those that deal with depression, anxiety, and a lack of self worth. Kristen is also dedicated to suicide prevention and awareness. She uses many trauma-informed modalities, such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems, to help clients heal. She is passionate about the development of people’s self-advocacy, coping with grief, and creating a safe environment for people to empower themselves for better quality of life. Kristen is honored to assist you in your mental health goals. 

Kristen is in-network for Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. Your cost will depend upon your plan.

Tim Beauparlant, MSW, LCSW, CEAP

Tim has been a master’s level clinical social worker for 37 years and has extensive experience in hospitals, hospice care, family service agencies, managed care/EAP, and private practice settings. His specialties include CBT and ACT, treatment of grief, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, anger management, and men’s issues. I also provide couples counseling. Tim completed the Family and Divorce Mediation training program at Washington University in 1996. He is currently a Missouri Social Work Licensure Supervisor, and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) as well as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). Tim facilitates SAP evaluations and follow-up reports for Missouri Department of Transportation (DOT) employees in safety-sensitive positions who test positive for drugs or alcohol.

Tim is in-network for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, and United Healthcare.  Your cost will depend upon your plan.

Barbara Muehlbauer, MA, LPC

Barbara believes you deserve a space that is welcoming and free of judgment. Her goal as your therapist is to help you feel empowered. She considers therapy a collaborative process where your voice matters. Some common issues Barbara specializes in include grief, coping and self-regulation skills, anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, safe expression of feelings, psychoeducation, safety planning, healthy relationships, and boundaries. She uses a person-centered approach to create a plan that specifically addresses your unique needs. Barbara enjoys meeting new people and considers it a privilege to share part of each client’s journey. Her counseling style is warm and inviting, with a focus on the client always. You are the one seeking support and the one determining the goals you would like to work towards. You are the expert on yourself, and Barbara aims to help facilitate change. Her therapeutic approach is Client-Centered with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and Solution Focused techniques to help you reach your goals. Barbara understands it can be tough to get started, but it is a journey that you do not have to walk alone.  

Barbara’s sessions are $75 per session.

Christy Gronek, MA, LPC

Christy provides individual and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. With over 25 years of experience working to build trusted relationships and dealing with family dynamics, Christy is committed to addressing the holistic needs of the client. She earned her master’s degree in school counseling and school administration and is a dedicated member of the St. Louis School Counseling Association. Christy monitors a clients progress, offers crisis intervention when needed, and prioritizes the clients’ ability to achieve optimal psychosocial functioning. Her expertise includes adjustment disorders, anxiety, family challenges, suicidal ideation, social phobia, grief, and trauma. Christy recognizes the importance of collaboration and looks forward to working with you to achieve your wellness goals.  

Christy is self pay and her rates are $130 a session.

Jennifer Kelly, MA, PLPC

Jen graduated from Webster University with a master’s degree in counseling and has 18+ years of experience in the healthcare field. She is passionate about helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, and those wanting to  achieve optimal well-being and a balanced life. 

Jen takes a personalized, holistic approach to therapy, recognizing the deep connection between physical and mental health. She believes that true healing begins when one takes the time to look beyond surface symptoms and gets to the root of what is causing distress. Each individual is unique, and Jen tailors’ treatment to fit their individual needs, strengths, and goals.
